A word scrambler is the classic word-game warm-up: it shuffles the letters of any word into a random jumble, just like the tiles you get in Boggle, Wordle-style puzzles or a newspaper anagram. Type a word and hit Scramble to get fresh jumbles every time.
The anagram mode is different — it works out every possible arrangement of the letters so you can spot real words hiding inside a jumble. Use it to solve crossword anagrams or to check your guesses in Scrabble and Words With Friends.
Why do some words have fewer anagrams than expected? If a word has repeated letters, swapping the identical letters does not make a new arrangement, so the unique count is lower.
Does it work offline? Yes. Everything runs locally in your browser and no text is sent anywhere.
Can it unscramble words? It lists all letter arrangements so you can scan for the real word yourself; it does not use a dictionary.
