What is GST?
The Goods and Services Tax (GST) is a broad 10% tax on most goods, services and other items sold or consumed in Australia. When a business sells something, it typically adds GST to the price and later passes that money to the Australian Taxation Office.
This calculator works in two directions. “Add GST” takes a price before tax and tells you the GST to charge plus the total the customer pays. “Remove GST” takes a GST-inclusive price and works backwards to show the original price and the GST already included.
